A small pot that teaches a lot
The 2 Gallon You-Build EZ KIT Advanced Model is for tinkerers who want to learn on a bench-sized still and build it themselves. We cut, roll and emboss the copper in our shop. You clamp, fit and solder it at home. Doing the assembly yourself keeps the price down, and you'll know every seam on the still.
Two features worth noting

At two gallons, a run is quick to set up and easy to repeat. That makes the still a good home lab. Change one thing, watch what the vapor does, take notes and run it again. The copper and heat do the chemistry, and you decide the cuts.
Before you pick up the torch
You solder this kit yourself, so you'll need basic copper soldering skills and a safe place to work. Dry-fit every piece before you solder anything. A clean joint now saves you trouble later.
Legal uses
It's legal to own a still in the US. People use small copper stills to distill water and extract essential oils, and fuel alcohol can be made with a federal permit. Distilling spirits requires federal (TTB) permits. Please follow federal, state, and local law.
