One design in twelve sizes
The EZ KIT Advanced Model comes in 2, 6, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80 and 100 gallon sizes. The idea is the same at every size. We cut, roll and emboss the copper in our shop, and you finish the build by clamping and soldering it at home. Doing the assembly yourself is how you save money.

Choosing a size
Start with the kind of experiments you want to run. Small pots heat quickly, so it's easy to repeat a test and compare results. Large pots need more time, more heat and more care, but each run gives you more to work with. At any size, you're the one watching the temperature and the vapor and deciding where the cuts fall. That's the alchemy, and it's also the science.
Who should build one
This kit is for people who are comfortable with a torch and with soldering copper. If you're new to it, practice on scrap copper until the solder flows cleanly into your joints. Take your time, especially on a big build.
Use it lawfully
It's legal to own a still in the US. Stills are used to make distilled water and essential oils, and to make fuel alcohol with a permit. Distilling spirits requires federal (TTB) permits. Follow federal, state, and local law.
