Some people buy a still. Others want to understand every seam in it. The 15 Gallon You-Build "EZ KIT" Advanced Model is for the second kind of person.
What makes it the Advanced Model
This version adds two features named right in its title: an EZ Seal Cap and a 4 inch thumper port. The port gives your setup room to grow, so you can add a thumper when you're ready to take your experiments a step further. The EZ Seal Cap is part of the design from day one, not an afterthought.
Your build, step by step
Every piece of copper comes pre-cut, rolled, and embossed. Your job is to clamp the parts together, check the fit, and solder. It's honest, hands-on work, and doing it yourself is how the kit saves you money. The price starts at $629.
Then the real experiments begin
Copper, heat, and vapor are the old tools of the alchemist. When you've soldered the still yourself, you know exactly how each joint was made. From there you learn to adjust the heat, follow the vapor path, and make clean cuts. Stills are used for distilled water and essential oils. With the right permits, they're also used for fuel alcohol and spirits.
Please note: owning a still is legal in the US, but distilling alcohol requires a federal TTB permit. Follow all federal, state, and local laws.
