When you build a still from one of our EZ kits, you learn every seam and joint. The proofing parrot gives you that same close view of what comes out of the still. It's a handcrafted, solid copper fitting that sits at the output and holds your hydrometer or alcohol meter while the distillate flows through it.
Read Proof as It Runs
You don't have to stop and fill a test jar. The parrot gives you continuous readings during the whole run, so you can watch the proof rise, hold and drop as it happens. Think of it as a live data feed from your experiment.
Make Your Cuts With Confidence
Separating heads, hearts and tails is where the skill shows. A steady proof reading helps you make each cut accurately instead of guessing by smell or by the clock. Accurate cuts give you a cleaner, smoother product. It's chemistry you can see.
- Solid copper construction, built to last
- Holds a hydrometer or alcohol meter securely
- Real-time proof readings during the run
- Helps you make accurate heads, hearts and tails cuts
A Natural Fit for a Copper Build
You already chose copper for your still and put in the work to clamp and solder it yourself. A copper parrot matches that build and makes the finished rig more complete. It works the same on a 3-gallon still or a 100-gallon one.
Owning a still is legal in the US. Distilling alcohol requires federal (TTB) permits, and you must follow federal, state and local law.
